THE CLASS
I believe that everyone deserves access to high quality, cutting edge, sex positive, truly comprehensive sex education.
My class offers a broad overview of the most relevant topics today surrounding human sexuality. Topics covered in the course include male and female sexual anatomy, biological sex development, diversity in sex development, gender and gender identity, transgender, sexual orientation, sexual response and behavior, sexual relationships, fetishes and kinks, sexual development throughout the life span, fertility, pregnancy, contraception and abortion, STIs, sexual dysfunction, sexual coercion, sexual harassment, partner violence and sex work.
Many of these topics are addressed through the lens of social psychology, however the course also draws heavily from biological and sociological theory and research. The class also features a variety of guest panelists who provide a more personal, human perspective on many of the topics we discuss.
MOST importantly, there is ample time for anonymous question asking during class — which is by far everyone’s favorite part, including mine.
If you believe that my class can help you navigate through your unanswered questions about sex and sexuality, then I’d love to hear from you. If you are a non-UW student and would like to take my class, I accept non-matriculated students into special, more intimate summer sessions that provide lots of opportunities for individual question asking and live, casual conversations with me. Let’s talk!
